“Why?”

A video produced by Ketchikan students asking “why?” – why the State imposes a $30,000 daily penalty in terms of funding for their education – why their parents have to pay a property tax rate four times higher than it would be if the penalty were not imposed – and why, with billions and billions of dollars in overflowing coffers, the State doesn’t honor a critical promise it made in law to the citizens of Alaska 48 years ago.
