[ARCHIVED] New Public Health COVID-19 Dashboard

Joint Media Release: New Public Health COVID-19 Dashboard

Date:             July 30, 2021

Contact:        Abner Hoage, Ketchikan Emergency Manager, 228-2361

For Immediate Release

The local COVID-19 website at www.kgbak.us/covid19 has been updated with a new Public Health COVID-19 Information Dashboard.

As previously announced on June 29, 2021, the Ketchikan Emergency Operations Center (EOC) ceased operations effective Friday, July 23, 2021, and the operations to address COVID-19 in the community were assumed by Ketchikan Public Health.

Ketchikan Public Health nurses will update the new COVID-19 dashboard on weekdays with current local case data. The new dashboard provides a summary of positive cases, including cases by date and source, and current hospitalizations. The new dashboard does not include all of the information previously provided by the EOC, such as positivity rate and risk level assessment data.

Additional information and statistics on COVID-19 cases and vaccination rates can be found at the Alaska DHSS dashboard at https://alaska-coronavirus-vaccine-outreach-alaska-dhss.hub.arcgis.com/.

Questions regarding COVID-19 in the community should be directed to the local Public Health Department 907-225-4350, the DHSS COVID question line 2-1-1, or can be emailed to covidquestions@alaska.gov
