The Borough has started the process of developing a Tourism Destination Management Strategy for the Ketchikan Gateway Borough. As such, the Borough has formed a community-based public advisory committee that will assist with the planning process and provide support to increase engagement among tourism stakeholders, year-round businesses, Native organizations, community organizations and Borough residents. The first Community Advisory Committee meeting will be held Tuesday, March 22nd at 12:00 p.m. in the Borough Assembly Chambers.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend this first and all subsequent Community Advisory Committee meetings to learn about the planning process and to offer insight that will help shape a shared vision of tourism in the community.
